This mystery case deal is for 6 bottles (of the same wine) of a 2020 vintage D.O.Ca. Rioja Spanish Tempranillo from a well-known producer in Rioja, Spain.

100% Tempranillo, this is a rich, expressive red that's true to Spain's famous Rioja region. This wine is packed with blackberry, plum and dark cherry, with hints of cocoa, spice and a tiny touch of vanilla. The tannins are smooth and velvety and the wine, being from the 2020 vintage, is drinking incredibly well right now. An ideal red for the colder nights!

Production Notes:

The fruit is harvested in early October from vineyards in Rioja Alta, around the town of Haro. Vines on average 15-20 years old. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 25-30° C with twice daily pumpovers. After 12 days fermentation on the skins the wine is gently pressed and racked to stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation. The wine is then racked to a mixture of American and French oak barrels for 4-6 months maturation.
