We can finally reveal that our 2024 Mystery Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc was indeed the 'Fernlands' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from Marisco Vineyards, makers of The Ned and Leefield Station. Here we have the new 2025 vintage, exclusive to Everyday Wine here in New Zealand!
Vintage: 2025
Tasting Note: Highly aromatic, the nose shows unmistakable tropical aromas of guava and gooseberry with a slight hint of granny smith apple. The palate is crisp with fresh flavours of kiwifruit, white peach and honeydew which are supported by a tight citrus acidity.
Winemaking: Sauvignon Blanc fruit was harvested at optimal ripeness, pressed and cold settled. Juice was inoculated with specific yeast strains that enhance the varietal intensity followed by a long, cool fermentation to encourage the development of tropical notes. The wine was bottled early to promote freshness.
Vineyard Locations: Waihopai, Wairau & Ward Valleys
