2021 Angove 'Vineyard Selection' Shiraz
Angove Vineyard Selection Shiraz
The Angove Family are fifth generation grape growers based in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Producing a wide range of wines across all price points, this wine took our interest as something accessible that we could offer while our next Terroir Project Shiraz gets bottled - this wine is true to form and everything we look for in a South Australian Shiraz. Producer's Tasting Notes:Colour: Rich intense purpleAroma: Cherries, ripe raspberry, subtle spice and vanillin aromas come to the fore on the nose. Flavour: The spicy fruit flavours and deft oak create a wine of great enjoyment and balanceCellar Potential: Now - 2030Vegan FriendlyWinemaking: These grapes are brought into our Vintage House, the oldest part of our winery, and crushed into 70 year old concrete vats where the fermentation is initiated by the indigenous “wild” yeasts found on the grape skins. Careful extraction and short post fermentation maceration is followed by pressing. The resultant wine is transferred to American oak where the malolactic fermentation is completed before racking and maturation for 9 months. A careful assemblage is followed by minimal filtration and bottling. Vineyards: 100% McLaren Vale, the grapes were sourced from a careful selection of low interventionist vineyards across the stunning McLaren Vale region, from Blewitt Springs and Seaview in the North through to Willunga and Sellicks Hill in the South. The range of sites vary greatly in soil, aspect, and vine age, and when combine create a complex wine that refl ects the true, rich character of McLaren Vale shiraz. McLaren Vale fared well in a challenging vintage, due to the moderating influence of the Gulf St Vincent, reliable spring rainfall and and excellent water management; enabling the vines to grow unimpeded during hot spells. Yield was slightly impacted by a hailstorm during flowering in November, and a day in January where temperatures soared to 46.6°C, burning some leaves and fruit. Harvest was fast and furious and while quality was exceptional, yields were down by up to 25%

An old-school Spanish classic, this Tempranillo shows off the benefits of both time in barrel and time in bottle. 2016 vintage. Reserva. Aromas of dried cherry, black plum, and fig unfurl alongside warm notes of cedar, vanilla, and sweet tobacco. Hints of leather, clove and spice to add complexity. 2023 Domaine de Chatillon Gamay Noir
Domaine de Chatillon Gamay Noir
Drive 2 1/2 hours southeast from Beaujolais and you arrive at Savoie ("Sav-wah"), one of France's smallest and least-known appellations. Savoie might be most famous for it's red variety Mondeuse, but here is a benchmark example of Gamay Noir and everything we know it for: juicy, inviting, dark red fruits - plush, spicy backbone - light, talcy tannins - incredible easy drinking. Domaine de Chatillon ("cha-tee-yon") is owned by Swiss-born investor and wine lover Ed Peter, who is also the owner of famous Australian estates Yarra Yering and Kaesler.  Tucked away on the northern tip of Lac du Bourget, less than an hour south of Geneva (while still in France), Domaine de Chatillon is a small, quality-focussed producer making wines that are both varietal and vividly expressive of their alpine terroir. The wines are dry-grown, hand-harvested, and wild-fermented. Maturation is in stainless steel or concrete to preserve freshness and fruit purity. Minimal sulphites are used. With less than 1% of France’s total wine production, Savoie (“Sav-wah”) has long flown under the radar, its wines mostly enjoyed by skiers at Chamonix and the locals. Along with its neighbour, the Jura, Savoie is now seeing high demand for its unique, alpine wines that deliver purity, minerality and precision.  Working with indigenous grapes including Jacquère and Mondeuse, alongside Gamay and Pinot Noir - the wines are clean, expressive and mineral, serving as a lucid expression of the region’s unique high-altitude terroir.
2023 Domaine de Chatillon Jacquère
Domaine de Chatillon Jacquere
Jacquère ("jac-kerr") is a white grape variety indigenous to the Savoie. Jacquère has a light, white floral aroma which opens up to a richer, more stonefruity palate. Alpine white at its finest, this wine is mineral and flinty and is a brilliant aperitif or light fresh white wine to start an evening on. 2020 Domaine de Chatillon Mondeuse
Domaine de Chatillon Mondeuse
While the Savoie is best known for Chamonix, Courchevel, Fondue and Mont Blanc, in the wine world it is best known for Mondeuse. Remarkably similar (though not related) to Syrah, this wine is all about violets, raspberry, cacao and a pinch of white pepper. Deep, juicy and vibrant, this is a plush, long, easy going red that you could drink all night without ever getting bored. Dark red fruits, complex spicy-woody aromas and the Savoie's hallmark high-altitude acidity, these wines are incredibly interesting and unique. 2023 Domaine de Chatillon Rosé
Domaine de Chatillon Rosé
Made from Gamay Noir, this is a rosé with richness and real fruit flavour, while retaining minerality and freshness too. Strawberry, cherry and pomegranate, with a hint of funk and spice. Really unique; high-altitude, old-vine Gamay Noir Rosé from the French Alps. 2024 Emma Marris Chardonnay
Emma Marris Chardonnay
About Emma Emma Marris is a professionally trained winemaker and 3rd generation from the pioneering Marris family, who founded Wither Hills and now own Leefield Station and The Ned Wines. Emma graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide before returning to work as winemaker for the family, while also having travelled abroad doing vintages in Bordeaux and in Oregon.  With fruit sourced entirely from Leefield Station, Emma set out to start her own label in 2022, first with Sauvignon Blanc, then Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Emma's own label allows her the creative freedom to trial new techniques and methods, work with small select parcels from specific sites and terroirs, and cut her own path with wines unique to the rest of the family. All of Emma's own wines have won numerous awards in both New Zealand and overseas. Origin Leefield Station Vineyard - Waihopai Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand. Variety 100% Chardonnay. Vintage Vintage 2024 will be remembered for being one of Marlborough’s smaller vintages but also for producing exceptional fruit quality. Despite a dry winter and resulting low ground moisture levels, full dams and positive river flows supplied essential soil moisture for the start of the growing season with budburst in mid-September. Minimal frosts occurred, and though November and December were warm, below-average temperatures potentially contributed to the smaller vintage. From December to February, temperatures rose sharply, accompanied by above-average sunshine and below-average rainfall, leading to drought concerns and an early start to harvest.Perfect weather aided steady picking from February until mid-April, allowing fruit to be picked in perfect condition at peak ripeness delivering consistent levels of concentration and complexity of flavour. Winemaking These Chardonnay grapes came from a selection of clones grown on our Leefield Station Vineyard in the Waihopai Valley. Hand-harvested and whole bunch pressed, the resulting juices were fermented on full solids in carefully selected French oak barrels. The young wines were left to mature on full yeast lees for a period of 10 months, with occasional stirring to build palate weight. As the weather warmed in early spring, the barrelswere encouraged to go through malolactic fermentation to soften the acidity. This wine was blended and filtered in late summer before bottling in March 2025. AnalysisAlcohol 14.0%pH 3.18Titratable Acidity 6.4g/LResidual Sugar 1g/LVegan Certified Tasting Note Aromas of orange blossom, yuzu, and marmalade rise over a subtle backdrop of buttered brioche. The palate unfolds with layers of white peach and a tropical nuance, while flinty minerality adds purity and tension. Supportive oak and a whisper of sandalwood lend warmth and depth, without overshadowing the fruit. Food Matching A perfect pairing for spaghettini with mussels, prawns and chilli bisque – this Chardonnay will enhance the dish’s bold flavours while complementing the seafood’s natural sweetness. Cellaring Potential Best drinking from 2025 through to 2030.

2023 La Famille Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay
La Famille Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay
From Burgundy, France. This wine has all the classic hallmark traits of classic white Burgundy. It presents as pale gold in colour with aromas of ripe pear, white peach and citrus. The palate is concentrated, juicy and round, with citrus and stone fruits and a touch of creaminess. The oak is well-integrated in both aroma and flavour. A crisp, fine line of acidity with a clean, mineral finish.
2024 La Famille Brut
La Famille Brut
La Famille ("The Family") Wines are a handpicked family of wines from across the globe, chosen for their ability to express variety, style and region. In the mix you’ll find classics like a Bourgogne Blanc (White Burgundy - Chardonnay), a rustic Montepulciano from Abruzzo, and very soon, a textural Chenin Blanc from Vouvray. These are wines with story, structure and soul, and all serve as benchmarks in their category. For this release, importers and distributors Wine Diamonds have unearthed a special parcel of Marlborough Riesling, grown sustainably on a unique patchwork of deep clay and alluvial river stones. It’s this tension between the full-bodied clay and the mineral-rich stones that gives the wine palate weight, aromatics and acidity — an ideal foundation for sparkling Riesling. This is a Brut sparkling — that is to say it is dry - but this is far from lean or austere. Expect a wine that balances richness with refreshment: aromas of lemon verbena, grapefruit pith and orange blossom flow from the glass, while the palate is crisp, fine-boned, and zippy. There’s a lovely citrus edge and a clean, salivating finish that keeps you coming back for more. Light on its feet but with serious intent — this is sparkling with poise, charm, and serious drinkability.
2024 Lauren Langfield 'Langhorne Creek' Cabernet Franc
Lauren Langfield Cabernet Franc
Lauren Langfield may be a new wine label in Australia, but she is by no means new to the wine industry. After graduating from Lincoln University in Canterbury, Lauren worked in Marlborough and then Nelson before heading to Australia in 2011 where she worked as Winemaker for William Downie, then BK Wines before moving on to become the Manager and Chief Winemaker at Orbis Wines in McLaren Vale. Lauren established her own label in 2021 with fruit sourced from Gareth Belton of Gentle Folk Wines.  In 2022, Lauren won 'Best New Act' in the Australian Young Gun of Wine Awards and then a year later she won the main award, the 'Young Gun of Wine'. Since then her wines have captured the attention of a number of Australian Sommeliers, being listed at some of Australia's best restaurants and sold in all the best wine stores too. Lauren is producing beautiful, well-made, fine wines from single varietals and single vineyards across South Australia and the quality and class of these wines is something everyone can enjoy. Tasting Notes: This Cabernet Franc reveals a delicate hue and a fragrant bouquet of ripe cherries, violets, and blackberries, with underlying notes of Black Doris plum. With soft tannins supporting a core of juicy red fruits— raspberry and cranberry—balanced by subtle herbal undertones and hints of graphite. A gentle floral lift persists through the finish, adding an air of refinement to this classic, nuanced wine. The destemmed grapes were fermented in an open steel fermenter, and handled very gently using daily pump overs and plunging. Transferred to mature French oak barriques after pressing, the wine was allowed to rest and mature in oak for 8 months. Tasting Note: "Lean and tightly wound, this year's chardonnay shows very characteristic lemon pith, white peach and pear aromatics. Further into the glass you'll find greater generosity, with hints of brioche, hazelnuts, and a lovely lemon curd and cream finish. The small-bunched Mendoza clone had a long, slow ripening period, which sings out in the chalky minerality and fresh acidity. Supported by the lovely ripe stone fruit characters, this chardonnay will leave you salivating.  Handpicked fruit was whole bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeast in French oak barriques for 9 months, with some batonnage during malolactic conversion."
