2023 Amoise Amphora Albariño

Hawke's Bay's Amy Farnsworth continues her output of terrific, forward-thinking wine with a brand new grape - Albariño!

With light skin contact and further aging in Amphora (traditional clay vessel), Amy has created an electric, genre-defying wine, toeing the line between white and orange. There's lots to love here: the wine is salty and textural, with a phenolic drive that leaps from the glass. There are notes of fresh stonefruit followed by bracing citrusy acidity. 

Excellent on its own or pair with fresh seafood and tapas.
