Winemaker Jordan Hogg's Atipico project goes from strength to strength as 2024 marks the release of his first Chardonnay!
The grapes are 30-year-old Mendoza clones grown organically in Rapaura, Marlborough, pressed whole bunch, wild-fermented and aged in old French oak.
Jordan's characteristic, deft touch is at play with the wine displaying great tension: electric, citrussy acidity, balanced nicely with a rounded, mouth-filling, toasty finish. The wine is seriously well-made and satisfying, while remaining fresh and full of life. A pleasure!
