Faust Hawke's Bay Merlot is confident and composed. Ripe blackcurrant and plum, backed by toasty but subtle French oak. The wine is plush and the tannins soft and resolved. Savoury, slightly earthy, with hints of liquorice and leather. Full bodied and smooth, the finish is long. Matured in French oak for 12 months. Amazing alongside steak, roast chicken and caramelised roast vegetables. One for Christmas day!
