After the success of The King's Desire rosé during the 2025 Black Friday sales we were quick to take the opportunity for Marisco (makers of The Ned and Leefield Station) to make this rosé just for us for another year!
This is a complex Provence-style rosé which is dry and pale pink in colour. It's generous, textural and has good palate weight while remaining crisp and refreshing at the same time. There's great fruit flavour and a nice, savoury, almost saline edge to it too.
Tasting Notes:
"Rose gold in colour, this Provence style rose is intensely perfumed, offering aromas of watermelon and nashi pear with a subtle note of brioche adding complexity. The plump, juicy palate opens dry, revealing flavours of white peach and crunchy Braeburn apple. Crisp acidity provide structure and length, leading to a refreshing salivating finish."
Winemaking:
100% Pinot Noir, which was harvested at its optimal ripeness and then cool-fermented in stainless steel tank to retain freshness and fruit purity. Time on yeast lees helped build opulence and mouthfeel.
