2024 Chapoutier Côtes du Rhônes Rouge Grenache Syrah

2024 Cotes du Rhones Rouge, a Grenache & Syrah blend, from Rhône Valley's most famous certified organic and biodynamic producer, Chapoutier, best known for their wines from Hermitage.

Vintage: 2024

This wine is a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah, sourced from select vineyard parcels across the Drôme, Vaucluse, Gard, and Ardèche regions. The vineyards benefit from diverse soils, including clay-limestone terraces and gravelly alluvial deposits, contributing to the wine's complexity and richness. After hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo destemming and are vinified in concrete tanks for four weeks. The fermentation process includes gentle extraction techniques to preserve aromatic compounds and tannins. The wine is then aged for six months in concrete tanks, allowing for a harmonious integration of flavours.

Appearance: Deep garnet red.
Nose: Intense aromas of ripe red fruits, complemented by subtle spicy notes and hints of Mediterranean garrigue herbs. 
Palate: Palate: The wine presents a full-bodied profile with flavours of cherry, kirsch, and dried thyme. 
Finish: Well-structured with firm tannins and balanced acidity, lingering finish.
