Chateau de Pibarnon is located in Bandol, Languedoc - in the South of France. Best known for Mourvèdre, this is a serious rosé with age-ability!
65% Mourvèdre, 35% Cinsault - from an incredibly unique terraced vineyard located at nearly 300m AMSL situated on rare limestone soils called trias. The grapes are hand harvested and either direct-pressed to barrel, or drawn off as rosé de saignée (free-run). The wines are wild fermented but at controlled, low temperatures to retain freshness, and aged for 6 months in tank post-blending.
White flowers, light spice, wild strawberry, raspberry, some white pepper.
