Professional Reviews & Tasting Notes

Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews:

"Bright, even, medium yellow gold. The nose is full, with aromas of lemon, apricot, beeswax, honey and rich floral. Medium-full bodied, sweet to taste, aromas of lemon and apricot melded with honey, beeswax, wildflowers and flint. The unctuous mouthfeel carries flinty phenolics and beeswax a long and invigorating acid drive, lending a moreish finish.Match with grilled pineapple and baked camembert over the next 5 years. Fruit from BioGro certified organic vineyard in WaihopaiValley, fermented to 13% alc, 80 g/l RS. 18.5-/20 (92 pts) Jun 2025 RRP $29 (375ml bottle)"

Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review:
"A sweet wine with intense, taut acidity and smoky, pithy minerality with tangy green apple and crisp herbaceousness contrasting spicy ginger biscuit, Anzac cookie, pineapple and brown sugar flavours. An interesting juxtaposition of tight austerity with decadent, spicy botrytis richness and sweetness. Long and tense on the finish, it manages to avoid tasting as sweet as it actually is due to the impressive acidity. A wine to watch as it unfurls and changes in the cellar. Tasted 24 Jun 2025. 92 Points. Silver"
