Treat yourself! Six excellent wines from local and abroad.
2021 La Ferme de Sato 'Alyssum' Gamay Noir
Sato's first Gamay Noir grown on their own vineyard (La Ferme de Sato). An ethereal, delicate rendition - both complex and subtle. Red berries - raspberry and ripe strawberry, with underlying notes of white pepper and violet. Delicious now with a light chill, would also cellar well to reveal more complexity.
2021 Vino di Anna 'Jeudi 15' Etna Bianco
A new cuvée from Vino di Anna, Jeudi 15 Bianco is an intriguing blend of white grapes, hand-harvested from numerous small vineyards high on the north face of Mt Etna. Mid straw in colour, the dominant nose is fresh citrus and a whisper of florals. Dry, crisp and fresh on the palate with lemon and grapefruit, subtle nuttiness and an underlying salty minerality on the finish.
2023 Gentle Folk 'Vin de Sofa' Chilled Red Blend
A delicious chilled red blend of predominantly Sangiovese with some Gamay, Pinot noir, Syrah, Merlot and Grenache, produced by Adelaide Hills legends Gentle Folk. Raspberry, cherry and tart cranberry dominate, the finish is spicy and refreshing.
2022 La Parrilla 'El Pinto' Palomino
Made from the Palomino grape (most commonly used to produce Sherry) this is a super fresh, vibrant and expressive wine of real character. Bursting with green apple, citrus, white floral notes, with a nice saline finish. Worth trying!
2021 Rock Ferry Brut Pinot Blanc
Dry, textural, and plush with citrus, stonefruit and a subtle mineral finish. Without a doubt one of the best-value sparkling wines in the country!
