Despite their small scale, Marlborough's Colere has grown to become one of the most acclaimed natural wine producers in New Zealand. A self-described 'micro-negociant' - fruit is sourced from select organic and biodynamically farmed vineyards, and the resultant wines are distinct, terroir-driven, and full of personality. We're thrilled to have a  selection of their best wines now available in limited numbers!

Lithe and complex, with a stylistic nod to the Rhône, the 2021 Dendron Syrah is sourced from the Raupo, a clay-rich, north-facing vineyard in the upper Omaka Valley, farmed organically and biodynamically. Raupo’s soils and aspect produce concentrated, savoury fruit with vibrant acidity and drive. 

Tasting Notes

On the nose, smoky bacon fat, leather and dark cherry compote are lifted by raspberry, dried rosemary and chocolate. The palate is layered with dark berries and plum, with earthy, tobacco and tomato leaf. Fine-grained tannins and bright acidity thread through the wine, giving it a sinewy yet balanced structure.
