Valentini's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is one of the most coveted and rare wines in Italy, if not the world.
Decidedly natural in approach, and only produced in vintages that are deemed appropriate, and then released only when deemed ready - sometimes held back from release for two or more years.
Ruby red color with an intense garnet reflection. Immediately engaging on the nose, from ripe currants to tobacco, from jam to spices, notes of cherry, tobacco and undergrowth. The palate is soft and persistent, with very well integrated tannins that create a very long finish.
