'Black Sands' is a new single-vineyard Chardonnay by Patrick Sullivan, made with grapes sourced from the volcanic-soil Heywood Vineyard in west Victoria. 

Lighter on its feet than Patrick's other 2022 releases, Black Sands is textural and phenolic. There is whole-bunch and some skin-contact at play, resulting in distinctive, earthy minerality supporting classic stonefruit, lemon and brioche. Electric on the palate, this is a fascinating expression and one of Patrick's best wines yet!
