Winemaker's notes: 

"Bright red and purple-magenta; medium colour intensity. Spice and plums and dark fruits; grated chocolate and vanilla pod aroma. Musk, cinnamon and mocha. Here is also earth freshly dug and a bowlful of dark berries. Oak’s bouquet is matched by those dark berry fruit aromatics, and vice versa. Rich red berry flavours (grenache) then earth and spice and plums (shiraz) and thirdly a long, leafy back-palate (yes, mataro). The tannins are neat but not in any way unnoticed. Acidity holds the line. The pure fruit and berry notes are balanced by the tannins and the oak’s spice."
