This is a rich, warming and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense ruby in the glass; blackberry, blackcurrant and ripe plum show prominently on the nose, following through on the palate, which is layered with pure, fresh dark fruit underpinned by coffee, cacao and subtle, herbaceous spice. Tannins are present but exceptionally well integrated, interplaying with fresh, lively acidity to create a long, satisfying finish.
Terroir Project is a new project of single-vineyard wines showcasing unique terroirs from around Australia. It's a new project brought to life by winemaker Lauren Langfield, who also works as Chief Winemaker for Orbis Wines in McLaren Vale. The wines are incredible translations of vineyard site and soil, and for the technically minded among us, the back labels offer all of the following information on each wine too.
