The fruit for this wine was sourced from BioGro certified vineyard no. 5119 in Nelson. 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the grapes were hand harvested and then whole bunch pressed into aged French oak barriques for fermentation and maturation.
Stylistically this is an intensely rich and textural Sauvignon Blanc that's more Sancerre than South Island. Planted on predominantly clay soils, with some stony alluvial ancient riverbed, these soils help impart pretty, elegant aromatics along pure power, concentration and structure on the palate.
