Pinot Noir from the Derain family's 'Les Petits Noizons' plot in Pommard, Burgundy, which is just 15 minutes drive northeast of their main estate in Saint-Aubin.

Pommard is well known for its intense, structured Pinot Noirs that benefit from the iron-rich, red soils that surround the village. These are some of the bigger, more powerful, more tannic wines of the Côte de Beaune for sure, and certainly one of the most age-worthy, 'premium' wines from Domaine Derain. Drink now in its infancy if you want just that, or let it lay in your cellar for a few years to develop and gain even more complexity.

Organically farmed, hand harvested, fermented as approximately 50% whole bunches for 2 weeks before being pressed and matured in aged French oak barriques for 12 months before being bottled unfiltered and unfined.
