• This wine is from Les Poyeux, considered one of the most famous vineyards in Chacé (Saumur-Champigny), neighbouring Clos Rougeard. 
• Vines were planted in 1965, mostly on clay and limestone sand on limestone bedrock
• Certified organic
• Hand harvested into crates and then sorted. The fruit was destemmed, wild fermented in concrete tanks for 30 days, then aged in aged French oak barriques for 18 months
  
• Unfiltered, unfined (vegan)
• 25mg/L SO2 added at bottling
• Tasting notes: Wow. Nose of kola nut and cacao. Very fine, silky tannins. Balanced. Blackberry, juicy, cherry, cassis. Wood present but discrete. Medium bodied. Good line of acid. Incredible length. Very ageable.
